COMING IN 2026
Piedmont is located in the northwest corner of Italy, just west of Milan and bordering France and Switzerland. Its name means ‘foot of the mountain’ and is an accurate description since it is at the base of the Alps. Piedmont has a long and storied history tied to the unification of Italy, which only happened in 1861.
Piedmont’s appeal is a region that is rich in so many ways. It is the home of the Slow Food Movement, which has gained traction around the world. Ever heard of truffles (not the chocolate kind!)? Well, Alba in Piedmont is the mecca for the most prized truffles (the white ones) anywhere truffles are sought after. Add in chocolates, hazelnuts (think Nutella), cheese, automobiles, architecture, and you’ll have a lot to explore. But wait, we haven’t even touched on wine – Barolo, Nebbiolo, Barbaresco, oh my!
Our Piedmont tour, entitled Pure Piedmont, is designed for travellers who want to:
- Savour the many local food products through private tastings
- Learn how to make some of the tastiest pasta
- Experience the Slow Food Movement
- Stroll among vineyards and connect with obscure local producers
- Explore the stunning landscape and breathtaking castles and museums
- Discover the art of the truffle chase
No use giving it all away here. Piedmont must be seen and experienced firsthand! Won’t you come along with us?
