I was talking to a friend of mine the other day who is a world traveller. She has been to so many countries and experienced diverse cultures and foods. I couldn’t resist asking her if she had a favourite country or two. Without hesitation, she said Italy and I smiled with pride as if I had something to do with it.

It’s no secret that Italy is a favourite destination for many travellers. As the summer comes to an end, I’m pining for a trip to visit the land of my ancestral relatives to savour the food, to walk in the lush vineyards, and to gaze up at the stars in the clear night sky. Since I’m not there, I’m consoling myself with videos, photos, and memories.  

I thought I would share a short video clip of the belle Marche Region, often referred to as All of Italy in One Region – the title of this video. The Marche Region has mountains, lakes, and the Adriatic sea. It has vibrant cities and sleepy coastal villages. It has history that dates back to ancient roman times and the archaeological remnants in the most unlikely locations. So much to offer, so much to explore.
