takenote September 17, 2014It’s 11:53 pm on Sunday night. Three travellers – Mindy, Dave and Bev have arrived in Pesaro and we are waiting for the last 8 to arrive by train: Josie, Anna, Julia, Sylvia, Marina, Frank, Joanne, and Gary. The train from Bologna is late by fifteen minutes but the last of our group finally get here by 11:20 pm. We are traveling to Hotel Imperial Sport, our ‘casa/home’ for the week. Upon arrival at the hotel everyone is treated to a welcome cocktail and variety of fruit, which was waiting for us along with the night porter. The hotel staff finished their duties at 11pm and went home. We briefly talk about the next day’s schedule and remind everyone that breakfast is at 7:45 am. The weary but excited group trudges off to sleep, listening to the sound of the sea and feeling the gentle breeze. Buona notte tutti! Paula
